The festival is aimed to explore old memories and culture identities of Taiwan. Taiwan is an island located in the East Asia. Population is composed by Han, Hakka and Aboriginal people, and gradually growth of South East Asian immigrants. Even though the complex composition of population, Taiwanese people still have many memories in common, sweet or painful.
Films tell histories we experienced or stories happened long time ago, individually or collectively; Old houses reveal the fragment of memories, the traditional tiles, patterns on windows and window frames tell us our stories. The stories trace back to several decades ago, the times when our grand-parents and parents lived through, even the childhood of young generation.
The films listed in the festival are the stories about Taiwanese old memories and cultures. Taiwan is a society which merges various culture together due to the colonial background.
